Windows 8 update fail & receive error message

When I'm trying to update my Windows 8, I meet the error message saying WindowsUpdate_80070246.

I would suggest you to run the Windows update troubleshooter and check if it helps.


a) Press the ‘Windows + W’ key on the keyboard.
b) Type troubleshooter in the search box and then press enter.
c) Select Troubleshooting. Click on view all and select Windows Update and follow the on-screen instructions.

I would suggest you to check the Service status of Windows Update.
a) Press Windows key + R and type services.msc in the search field and press ENTER.
b) Scroll down to find “Windows Update ".
c) Right-click “Windows Update “, and then click Start.
d) Check if the issue persists.
