I got an email from an address I didn't know. I was curious and opened the email to see the message coz it said it was the funniest thing in the world. The next thing I knew was that this virus blocked my internet connections and displayed a message claiming that I was accused to have been doing some illegal activities related to pornography. Swear to god, I never did, do or will do such thing! Now I cannot open reach my antivirus apps. The message occupied my whole screen. What can I do to stop all these things? Not much help out there. Any one knows about that?
Definitely another work from ransomware family. Newly released, high risk. Hope you haven't payed this scam. Oh, yes, it is a trick created by cyber criminals for money. It mainly targets computer users in Europe.
You have to switch to safe mode with networking, where this virus cannot be activated. Then stop its processes at Task Manager so that it won't show up automatically when you launch Windows. Last, delete all its registry entries at Regitry Editor.
Curiosity kills the cat! It is important to be attentive when receiving emails from strangers. Crooks like to use emails to distribute virus copies. Try more security tools when you are in safe mode. Some may help you locate the position of virus files, and some may help you delete them. No matter what, you can not pay this scam thing by all means! That's what it wants from you.
That's true. I'm the 'cat' killed by this virus! But how can I choose safe mode with networking? My pc runs Win 7, I'm on another computer now. The warning message shows up immediately when I reboot the computer. It doesn't give me a chance!
