Browser blocked by Police-service.net! Need instant help!

When I open my Google Chrome, my home page is changed to a site named Police-service.net with a warning message saying I need to pay a fine to unlock it. I tried to open new tabs, same appears. I can do nothing with my browser, how can I do now?

It must be a ransom virus and you had better not click anything on it. Don't be cheated by such stuff.

Well, I think you should instantly reset your browser settings and scan the system for other potential threats.

As I learnt from somewhere else, you may be able to stop it through Windows Task Manager. In win7, press Ctrl+Shift+Esc together to pull up task manager, and find out all its running processes and end them one by one. This will help to stop it instantly.
