Step 1: Remove Cerber virus using Safe Mode with Networking

For Windows XP, Vista and 7 users:

1. Restart your computer and keep hitting F8 key on your keyboard before Windows loads

2. Move your arrow key to highlight Safe Mode with Networking and then press Enter

Step 2: Remove Cerber virus using Safe Mode with Command Prompt

If you cannot start your computer into Safe Mode with Networking and you have another user account on your system, then you can try to log in another account, run a full scan with this recommended malware remover and delete all detected malicious items.

3. Then type in net localgroup administrators anewaccount /add and press Enter key on the keyboard

4. After that, type in shutdown -r and press Enter key on the keyboard

5. Click anewaccount and log in this clean account. This account may not be infected with this Cerber virus and you will be able to download and install recommended malware remover to remove this virus from your computer.

Step 3: Remove Cerber virus using System Restore

In case your newly-created user account is also infected with this ransomware, please try to perform a System Restore.

1. Start your system into Safe Mode with Command Prompt as Step 2 shows

2. Type cd restore and press Enter key on your keyboard

3. Type in rstrui.exe and press Enter key on your keyboard

4. Click Next to continue
